Drupal site for wealth managers

Whilst working with Graphic Alliance, I took on the front end development of Charles Stanley, one of the UK’s leading wealth management firms.

The site is vast and complex from a development perspective, but relatively straightforward from the user end. Each template was designed with several widget available to them which lead to each page being unique, but still looking and acting as part of the brand.

Building the website

I took on the front end development along with another developer, such was the size of the job, and built the site using Drupal as the framework.

Creating services

The services page formed of a hughly complex catalogue of segments which could then be imported to each page to form the content.

This gave each page it’s own individuality, as well as being straigtforward for the the user to input.

News & Opinion

Such is the size of the company, content such as news, opinions and videos were going to play a big part.

The content being upload is quite vast so an easily understandable layout and navigations section were vital.

John Redwood Video Diary

I had the ‘joy’ of building and updating the videos of John Redwood for the site.

Through use of third party uploads, the latest video would then be embedded into the site, where he got to speak about his dreadful opinions which were usually wrong.

Office space

The sheer amount of offices and outlets that Charles Stanley have meant setting up an intricate contact system fo find the correct location.

Along with a dedicated landing pages, each service, team member and key word loops back to the office. Similarly to the service template, the office pages are built by a complex network of option to build a unique page.

The results

It has been an absolute pleasure since the first day we started working with G-A way back in 2008. They have transformed our web presence from a very staid offering into a modern, forward-looking multi-media solution across 32 websites and their in-depth knowledge and experience has been invaluable.
